Mission
The L&D Managers responsibility is to lead the L&D activity for the specific business area(s) and region of which they are responsible, ensuring that they align to the overall L&D and people strategy and framework and meet the business needs. The L&D Manager will work closely with the HR Business Partner(s), practices and local leadership teams to ensure the local L&D requirements are met.

What you will be doing

 Develop best in class programmes that are aligned to external best practices and can be rolled out Globally across BAESystems Detica
 
Establish synergies across Regions and Business Units, delivering a single Global offering to employees in order to drive greater organisational performance and competitive advantage

Establishing and executing your business unit and regions learning & development (L&D) strategy in line with the business strategy

Being an active member of the leadership team (for the relevant Business Unit) you are supporting

Acting as the L&D point of contact across the relevant business unit/region

Developing and managing delivery and to deliver core skills training as required

Working with your Business Unit (s) to determine and address technical training requirements

Supporting practices and operations in workforce planning by identifying capability gaps and delivering current and future learning and development needs that demonstrate return on investment

Understanding and delivering L&D business reporting requirements

Working with the L&D advisor on internal L&D comms and promotions for consistency and a joined up approach globally

Ability to coach delegates as part of a programme or on an adhoc basis

Design and Develop remote learning options that can be utilised Globally

Developing and supporting implementation of global induction

Ensuring our L&D processes and systems are fit for purpose and are being used effectively

Overseeing and ensuring effective ROI

Working with the L&D Advisor to ensure strong relationships are maintained with our suppliers

Working closely with other parts of the business to drive efficiency through re-use of L&D knowledge/activities and share best practice with others

Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the relevant members of the senior management team

Profil
What we are looking for

Solid understanding of all aspects of learning and development

Good understanding of change management and organisational design

Experienced in developing and implementing high impact learning solutions ideally gained in a complex global multinational organization

Highly competent in the design of learning and development solutions to a range of levels and roles using a variety of media.

Understanding of the full learning cycle and its application within learning and development solutions
 
Excellent relationship building skills across the business

Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation)

Pragmatic and able to make commercial judgments both internally and externally

Able to work effectively across multiple business units/client groups/service lines.
